Truly Grateful
Here is a great fall card. I love the muted, but rich colors. Here I combined Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip. The stamps are from the Truly Grateful Stamp set.

Just Batty
This little bat is just hanging out having fun. I am usually up for fun, so this weekend attempted roller skating with my four year old at a church outing. Fractured my left arm by my wrist. So my posts will be short for a little while as I heal and can only type one handed. Bear with me please!!
Batty was created with Oval Framelits and circle punches. Basic Black and Perfect Plum cardstock work perfectly together. Enjoy!!

Spider in Glass
Having fun seeing what I can come up with for Halloween ideas! Here is a great gift for your friends - spider necklaces! So simple to create with Stampin' Up!'s Witches Brew Designer Series Paper. You can find the glass pieces in most craft stores in the jewelry section. I just cut out a piece of the paper to fit the glass and attached it with Modge Podge. Then add a piece of felt to the back, and a hook to hang it with. You can use any type of cord or ribbon to create your necklace.
Now is the time to order your Halloween items if you haven't already! Get a head start on getting your treats made!

Fold Up Halloween Snack Packs
Here is another cute way to package some treats for a classroom or co-workers. Though I do highly recommend candy rather than fruit snacks for your co-workers! I used the Halloween Hello stamp with Tangerine Tango ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I wanted it to stand out, but not a whole lot. The Scallop is punched out of Basic Black cardstock. The center is just a piece cut out from the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper.
You can attach your treats to the inside using Snail Adhesive or Glue Dots. The paper folds right up and the top actually tucks behind the scallop attachment on the front, matchbook style, so you don't have to seal it closed.
I am still taking orders for Halloween treats. Contact me today to get your order in! MightyOakStampers@yahoo.com

Best of Butterflies and Swallowtail
Taking a quick break from Halloween stuff to share a card I made for a friend. The Swallowtail stamp is paired with the Best of Butterflies stamp set. I love being able to punch out some of them with the Elegant Butterfly stamp. It does make things much easier doesn't it? The words come from the Trust in God stamp set. The card stock colors are Coastal Cabana, Island Indigo and Perfect Plum. The butterflies were stamped with Versamark and then Pool Party Embossing Powder was used rather than ink. I love how it just makes them pop off the darker colors.
If you have not used embossing powders before, definitely contact me! You really should try them, you will be amazed at the difference and how easy it is. I do offer private lessons and classes if there are any techniques you would like to learn. Email me at MightyOakStampers@yahoo.com to schedule your own specialized class today.

More Top Note Halloween Treats
A couple of posts ago, I was using the Top Note die cut as a pocket to hold candy bars. Once again, it is holding candy. Here I have scored it to allow room in the middle when folded in half. The top half I gave a little texture to with the Chevron Embossing folder. The hat and words come from the Best of Halloween stamp set (part of the Best of Series). Basic Black embossing powder gives the hat a little more shine. A piece of Pumpkin Pie 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon helps to keep the package closed.
Inside, I have attached three Hershey Nuggets. To dress them up for Halloween I added a wrapper made out of the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper.

Halloween - It's In the Bag!
Wow! Stampin' Up! has made it so easy for you to give out treats this year! Take a peek at the Pumpkin Pie Goodie Gear Simply Created Kit shown below.
In this kit you get enough materials to make 10 goodie bags including bags, tags, pre-printed die cut banners, Bermuda Bay bakers twine, and stickers. I opted to play a little more and traced the general tag size on to a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. To create the cut-out piece to slip the bag through, I used the Small Heart Punch. The stamp is from the Halloween Hello set.
This really is a great deal and now is the time to get started. Halloween will be here before we can blink (it happens every year like this!). The kit is item 132792 priced at only $4.95! Yes, that is correct, and you can make TEN of the treats. Order yours now at www.HilarySmith.StampinUp.net

Punch Art Lion
I saw this lion recently and just had to see if I could recreate it. It was a lot of fun and super cute for a gift tag. The mane was created with the blossom punch. If you don't have this one, order it now! It is very versatile for making basic flowers, 3-D flowers and see, even lion manes. The face was created using a combination of circle punches and a Small Heart punch for the nose. The lion was created with Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight cardstock. It was layered on a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock that had been embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions folder.
So if you have a lot of stamps and are looking at expanding your tools, add a punch or two to your list. You would be amazed at what you can create with them. Happy stamping (and punching!)

Candy Tube Witch's Broom
Yup, I had fun with this. How about a little Witch's broom for Halloween treats? This is another great one for classroom treats. I filled one of Stampin' Up's 1x8 Cellophane Bags (Item 124134) with Skittles. I admit, the ones they call purple look more like brown to me. I sliced up some Crumb Cake cardstock leaving it intact at the top. After wrapping it around the candy tube, I added a little Linen Thread to get a finished look.
The tag is created by using the Halloween Hello stamp set. I used Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the Decorative Label Punch. If you have not used these bags before, order some now! Priced at only $2.50 for fifty bags, you can't beat it. They are wonderful for all the upcoming holidays - stay tuned to my blog to see all the ways you can use them!

Top Note Halloween Candy Holders
Now that all the kiddies are back in school... you know what comes next on the calendar, Halloween! And boy does it sneak up fast! So let's get ahead of it and start planning those treats. Here is a super easy and fast treat holder. Use your Big Shot and Top Note die cut to get the front and back of this holder. I cut one in half to use it for two fronts. You can also trim it higher in the front and fold it down to form a sort of cuff in the front. I wanted to keep mine simple and get more mileage out of the paper :o) The paper in this project is the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper.
So once you have your Top Note pieces, you can decide what you want for embellishments. I used Basic Black 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon. The stamps are from the Halloween Hello Stamp Set.

Envelope Punch Board
It's HERE!!!! I had a sneak peek at this at Convention and have been waiting for it to arrive. So have you ever made a card in a different size and then had to fumble to make an envelope for it? Or did you put it in an envelope that was way too big for it, but it was all that worked? This will solve that problem. The chart on the side lists a ton of different card sizes, and then gives you the measurements for making the envelope.
Do you want your cards to have that extra special touch? Well, use the Punch Board to create coordinating envelope liners. That pushes your correspondence into the wow level!
With the holiday's coming, I kept thinking of gift cards. Gift cards used to just come as the cards with perhaps a little sleeve to protect them. Now they are typically attached to cardboard advertising the store. Sometimes they fit in your card, sometimes not. Now you can use the punch board to make cards and envelopes tailored to each gift card. How awesome is that? Want to see it in action? Check out the video below.
Ready to get yours? The Envelope Punch Board is item 133774 priced at $19.95. Click the shop now button on my page to start shopping.
