Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit

Hardwood & Serene Silhouettes

Sometimes I am not sure why I am making a card, other than to be creative. Oh, it will get used at some point, but until I know for sure what it is for, I like to be able to leave the sentiments off. That would be the case in the card above.  This is one of the cards that we will be making at the upcoming Stamp-A-Stack on March 8.  We will be making 12 cards (three each of four designs) for only $20. The card above was made using the Hardwood stamp from Stampin' Up's Occasions Catalog. I have teamed it with the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  I used my Color Coach for some color scheme inspiration and am using Garden Green, Soft Suede, and Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Scalloped Tag Topper Punch Gift Idea

Oh Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Here I have found two different ways to use the same tool.  No, it is not just for tags!  Though yes, it does make it a lot easier to make tags.  I used my Perfect Pennants Stamp Set (go back and read the first two sentences again please) to create the tag.  Once the words were stamped on the Whisper White, I cut them out using the Chalk Talk Framelits Dies.  The piece was then layered on Pool Party Cardstock.

The other "tag" was turned into a wrapper - what an easy way to dress up any container.  The jar band was created using the Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series paper.  I really love the bright colors in that set.  Both tags are finished off with Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

2 4 6 8 Treat Box and Sweet Sorbet

A little treat box - and yes, you still have time to make them for Valentine's Day if you need to!  This is called a 2, 4, 6, 8, box and it's is super easy to put together.  I added some decorative panels to the box using Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration.  The tag was created using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the Simply Celebrate stamp set from Stampin' Up! 

To create the box, cut a piece of cardstock (I used Pool Party above) to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Along the long side of the piece, score at 2", 4", 6", and 8".  Turn the sheet and score along the short edge at the 2" mark.  Along the long side, cut along the score marks up to your 2" score line.  Trim off the little rectangle at the end. Then you just fold the box up. I use Sticky Strip to get a nice tight seal on the side seam.  You don't want your treats spilling everywhere, do you?

Well, I told you to grab it when I posted it yesterday! I love the colors in the Let It Snow Digital Download from Stampin' Up.  Have you tried My Digital Studio yet? I know a lot of you are "traditional" scrapbookers and the thought of going digital makes your toes curl. Go ahead and admit it. I was too!  But I am finding that I can get do some pages super fast this way. Yes, we played in the snow today - say it with me T.O.D.A.Y!  I do like the layers with traditional scrapbooking, so what I like to do is create a hybrid page. You can do the photos, background papers and such in My Digital Studio. When I get the printed page, then I can add additional embellishments, such as ribbons, buttons, souvenirs. It truly is the best of both worlds.

Rev Up The Fun Birthday

This was another card going back to the race car birthday. I love the bright cars using the Rev Up The Fun stamp set from Stampin' Up!  Just like you, I enjoy following other stampers and seeing what others are making. Sometimes they offer up a sketch challenge. If you are unfamiliar with the term, you are given a general outline of a card, with the hopes that you get your creative hat on. The sketch for this card was the three focus points and a banner.  Since I had just done the thank you note (see the January 25 post), I instantly could see the stoplight in my mind using the Rev Up The Fun car stamps as background.  So that is what my blog and card sharing is about, look at my ideas and think about how to personalize them and turn them into your designs. 

Banner Blast & Perfect Pennants

I love love love Sale-A-Bration!  This card was made with the Banner Blast stamp set, which is one of the Sale-A-Bration items this year.  The stamp set has a coordinating punch as well.
